Introduction 

Guruvarya Sadanand Maharaj College of Arts and Commerce, kondhwa, Pune 48– Self Financed Section (Commerce) was established in June 2009, for B.Com, which are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The functioning of it was inaugurated with gracious presence of Hon. Chairman Jalinder kamathe.

B.com. program lays the basic platform for the students based on which they can further explore the field of Commerce & management. These courses aim at acquiring the skills which is highly demanded in the industry. In a very short span of time the commerce department has flourished.

Students are trained according to the demands of the industry and economy. Teachers are young, dynamic and well qualified who have registered for M. Phil and Ph.D.

Department provides professional touch to the courses offered by inviting experts from various fields like education, IT, finance, marketing, HR, etc.

Departmental Placement cell organizes various skill based training program like interview, GD , Image building for the students to make them employable.

The B.Com. Degree Course is the traditional course under commerce which consist of three Years. The first year & Second Year examination will be held semester wise under CBCS pattern.

The Third annual examination shall be held at the end of the year.

Teaching Methods

Teaching methods adopted to improve student learning-

• Lecture method,
• Group Discussion method
• Computer assisted learning (using different Software)
• Self-learning (Field visit)
• Assignment method to increase the learning capabilities and practical skills of students.
• Guidance through Experts

Examinations are conducted as per the university guidelines.

ICT in teaching

College provide well equipped computer lab, LCD projectors for ICT enabled teaching. Teachers use various ICT tools such as PPT, Video lectures etc.

Teaching aids like Zoom classrooms, PPT, Whats app groups are used in teaching.

Laboratory work

1. Practical sessions are conducted as a part of syllabus of B.Com
2. During practical, practical in- charge explain the assignment and related concepts using white board if required or by demonstrating practical on the software.
3. Extra practical sessions are conducted for Weak students to improve their performance in practical subjects.
